Since the restricted reopening of the club, the parking lots tell the story. It seems few people are actually able to use the facilities. Facemasks, limited usage, anti-social distancing. and facilities limited to a few members at once. All for fear of a virus…
Members are certainly not at the club recently. If you’re not going to open, please don’t charge us. Raising dues, not cool. Going there walking with a mask on, you don’t recognize each other and it’s become a cold experience.
Not the TAC our family is used to.
In my experience, TAC is the most restrictive environment I have encountered in Tokyo. We need to look at how other businesses act on guidelines and emulate them – not take the strictest interpretation possible, which is what we seem to do. A couple of signs and some hand sanitizers will fulfill the spirit of the guidelines. Dump the mask requirements. Open (really) the gym and pool. Guests with pre-registration. Live life.
